Orthogonal snapping in plans rotated by a small angle

When I rotate a crop region in a plan view by 0,17 degrees, orthogonal snapping of line-based commands keeps to the original orientation. Can I do anything to make the snapping aligned to the crop region? The original orientation is aligned with project north, but I am not allowed to touch that.

It seems like builtin behaviour that forces the project north to take precedence over the crop region orientation whenever the angular difference is less than ca. 0,25 degrees. I am afraid I'll just have to live with it.

Show Workplane and rotate the Workplane grid.

Nice, but it only works while the workplane is shown, right?
