Opening Inplace family in Revit Lt created from Revit full version

Hi

I am using Revit Lt and I've received a project file created in the full version containing some Inplace families.

I am unable to edit these families. The edit option is greyed out.

Is this normal?

Yes.

Ask the provider if they can save them out of the Project to an RFA for you.  Group=>Save As.
