Opening BIM 360 project file error: <filename> is corrupt and needs to be manually recovered

Hi,
I'm getting this error when opening a BIM 360 project. And now green bar is grinding SLOWLY (seems like it will take hours) to open the file. I've deleted the local cache/copies but it does the same thing. I'm not sure what is going on. Any advice is welcome.
Some of the things I've tried to do to remedy the situation:
1. Clear all cache (central & collaboration)
2. Cleared TEMP folder
3. Updated desktop connector to latest version (some linked files are through Desktop connector)
I have 140gb free disk space available on the HDD.
I am in the same spot. I still cannot open the BIM 360 file and I'm getting the same error: <file> is corrupt and needs to be manually recovered
I'm now opening file with the Audit option and it's taking forever. I'm also losing an entire day of work I can't bill clients.
