opening a dwg from the internet in revit

Hello how can one open a dwg file from online, onclick to revit using something like window.location.href = 'revit://https://filename.com/sample.dwg'

I see that you are a new visitor. Welcome to the Autodesk community!

1)Are you trying to open a dwg file in Revit? Then consider these options (you can either link or import the dwg in Revit)

• Insert tabImport panel (Import CAD)
• Insert tabLink panel (Link CAD)

2)If you are trying to view a file online, then please see this article on How to view a Revit model if you don’t have Revit

3) Or else, you have to download the dwg file from the specific location and create new Revit project, then link/ import your dwg. See this article HERE
