Hello all,

For the past few days I have been having this error pop up when opening any workshared file:

"You are trying to create a new local copy with the same name as one that already exists. What do you want to do?"

The options are "Overwrite existing copy" and " Append timestamp to existing copy" (see screencap attached)

These are files that I have opened with no issue in the past. I have opened some of them by choosing to overwrite the existing copy, however I receive the same message when I open them the next time. What would be causing this all of a sudden?

Not sure why you didn't see it in the past but it is normal for that choice to be given to you. Most people overwrite.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
