Octagon roof

Hello,

Sort of newbie to revit, Im trying to get a 8 sided gazebo roof with a 6/12 pitch, I've tried each one seperate but then I get the "lines must not overlap" or "lines must form a loop" error, spent too much time trying to connect, reconnect lines, etc...any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you .

It should be pretty easy. Start Roof by Footprint. Select sketching option Polygon (either circumscribed or inscribed), sketch the desired size roof. Alternatively you can use pick walls, set a desired Overhang on the Options Bar (just make sure your walls are forming a good octagon first). Double check the pitch of each roof sketch segment and then Finish Roof.
