Nudge/Arrow Keys Aligned to North in Default 3D View

Recently I noticed that when nudging objects in the default 3D view, the arrow keys became aligned to the project north direction. Usually the arrow keys would nudge an object, up/down/left/right based on how the view was oriented; for example, up moves the object up regardless of where "north" is. Suddenly, in the 3D view, the up arrow only moved and object north, the down arrow south, and so forth.

I managed to fix it by deleting and recreating the default 3D view, but does anyone know what setting this is, and how I may have turned it on?

Try clicking on an orientation on the View Cube.

Then the nudging should follow the view orientation.
