Not transfering materials

Hi,

In our Revit 2018 and 2019 Transfer Project Standards is not working. I specifically needed to transfer the materials from one file to another and they are not updating. I also checked the fill patterns and line styles and noticed that they are not transferring as well. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Do you need to transfer materials? Or do you have the materials already in the other project, but are they not updated?

In case of the latter: delete the existing materials and try to transfer again.

I need to transfer the materials from one file to another. I have updated the exterior material in one file and need the same material to update in the other linked files. I am aware that I can open the materials and manually update them to be the same, but that is the purpose of the Transfer Project Standards tool. I want someone from Autodesk to address this issue. please.

For Revit links, you cannot override the materials in the host project unless you physically update the linked file material.  The linked file material definitions and assignments will determine the material appearance in the host project.
