Not emitting light bulb

In revitcity.com I found a light bulb that I was looking for. https://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=14315. But it is not working the way a lightbulb needs to be working.

When rendered it gets bright but it is not illuminating the entire space as it should. Is there any thing that needs to be considered for that to work the way it should?

… hi @Anonymous

… you do have some issues with your family

… your light source is way up in the family

… you do need to grab that and lower it into the bulb … or below

... this will answer your question... now you can render with light ..

… ***also for that kind of family try to use a ceiling based family template

…    and this family is way too big

… but better … try to create your own light

… take a look at this one … similar as your idea ... I've made a while ago...

... this is how it should be rendering

… this is only one light in a room

… or could be with any amount of lights
