Ok so I set up a title block with share parameters and I load the family into my project. I found the Project Properties dialog and can enter client name, project name etc but where are the shared parameters? Can I get them in this dialog? Is there another dialog to input the shared parameters?

If you added your own Shared Parameters to Labels in your Title Block family, you will also need to add those Shared Parameters to your project file.  (If this is a standard title block that you expect to use on most projects, you will also want to add these to your template file(s), so that new projects have them from the get go.)

In your project file (and template file), on the Manage ribbon tab, select the Project Parameters tool.

In the Project Parameters dialog, select the Add button.

In the Parameter Properties dialog, select the Shared parameter radio button, and then select the Select button.

If the Shared Parameters file that has the desired parameter is current, you can select the correct Parameter group and then the correct Parameter and select OK.  If the current Shared Parameters file is not the one with the desired parameter, select the Edit button.  In the Edit Shared Parameters file, use the Browse button to navigate to the Shared Parameters file with your desired parameter, select the file and select the Open button.  Then select the OK button in the Edit Shared Parameters dialog to return to the Shared Parameters dialog, with the correct Shared Parameters file current.  You can now select the correct Parameter group and then the correct Parameter and select OK.

Back in the Parameter Properties dialog, in the Parameter Data area, decide whether the parameter should be type or instance based, and the browser category under which it should be grouped.  Then, in the Categories area, decide what category(ies) to which the Shared Parameter should apply.  If the parameter will be the same for all title blocks, the Project Information category is appropriate.  If the value varies with each sheet, then the Sheets category is appropriate.

Select OK to dismiss the Parameter Properties dialog.

Select OK to dismiss the Project Properties dialog and add the Shared Parameter.

Hi David. Thanks for the response. I have the parameters loaded in the project and family. My question is more for when I cut the sheets for a specific project. Is there a dialog box similar to the project properties where I can specify the project specific paramters. As an example Township is one of the shared parameters I created. Where can I tell Revit the the Township for this specific project is Blahblahville so I see Blahblahville on the sheet and not Township?

That will depend upon the category you used when loading the Township Shared Parameter in your project.  Assuming that the Township would be the same for all drawings of a given project, you can assign the Project Information category, and it should show up on the Project Properties dialog (Manage ribbon tab, Settings panel, Project Information tool).

For a Shared Parameter that needs to vary for each sheet, if you use the Sheets category, it will be available on the Properties panel when that sheet is current and no objects are selected.

You can edit the category assigned to a Shared Parameter in your project by using the Project Parameters tool (Manage ribbon tab, Settings panel), selecting the parameter in the list box and choosing the Modify button.

The left side of the image below shows that the Cert of Need # parameter that was shown in the previous post in the Project Information category then shows up in the Project Properties dialog.  We have another shared parameter called Sheet Integer, used when we are required to include Sheet X of Y on our drawings.  That shared parameter is assigned to the Sheets category, and as shown in the right side of the image below, it appears in the properties of the individual sheets.

Thank you very much David. That's what I was looking for. I placed the parameters in the sheet catagory and was wondering why I had to populate it on each sheet. 😮
