My Revit 2016 does not seem to have any libraries or families. Any advice? See picture. Thank you.
So it installed to the correct location when I navigate through windows, but revit still can not find it. And it has a error message about the families file when I open revit. My revit 2017 maps to a different location than the 2016. 2016 can't see the ProgramData file like 2017 can. I have attached some pictures. Any advice? Thank You
Ok - then
R>>Options>>File Locations
Clicking on the green + will allow you to add locations for your templates (if needed)
Clicking on the Browse button for family template files will allow you to add locations of your family templates
The Places dialog box will allow you ta add / remove library locations
Followed the step but has the same issue, see pics. Seems like it should work. I really don't know where to go from here. I would uninstall and reinstall but its part of a bundle. Thank You
I'm not sure I understand the question. The family and libraries files are in the programdata/autodesk/rvt2016. There are not any family and library files in the programdata/autodesk/revit 2016 file. But aside from that I don't know why it takes me there when I specified the programdata file. I did check rvt2016 file and the family file and libraries are there. I guess I just have to go through all the files manually to get there since revit won't let me default there. Thank You
Hi @asherjoh
I just wanted to follow up here, any progress on this issue?
If you continue to face the issue, can you confirm the following for me?
checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. For information on using the Desktop App see the following article: About the Autodesk Desktop App
Note: If you are not able to download updates through the Desktop App, the following article has information on downloading updates through the Autodesk Accounts page: Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements
See article: uninstall and reinstall Autodesk Material Library
I look forward to your reply update.
