Hi all, starting my path in revit I need some help, please explain the most you can so I can learn from these walls I hit when using this great program.
I am a Mechanical Drafter. So I received a file from an architect. Wanting to model in the ductwork, when I opened the file, I got all these warnings-see attached. Can you please explain what's going on, what does each of them mean, and why they are coming up. And what needs to be done so I can open this file and that this shouldn't happen again with other projects in the future.
Please don't give me a few words answer, so I can get the most out of this issue I just got into. As we all know, every such situation is an opportunity to learn.

Well, if a "few words" is not what you want, then I would suggest drilling down in this Link. "LOTS" of word here.
Have you tried searching the internet for those errors? Lots of words out there.
I much appreciate your time and efforts to help me out with my issue. As soon as I have a chance, I am going to drill down into this link. But do you have anything that you can tell me in a "Few words" what's happening and what I need to do?
Hello @Berrys_Cooling_Drafter ,
It looks like you're running into the following things:
Error 1: The central model <Filename and path> cannot be found, perhaps due to a lost network connection.
Error 2: Opening worksets
Error 3: Some families have become unusable. Reload the families, or delete them from the model.
Error 4: Data in file <name and path> is corrupt and needs to be manually recovered.
Hope that helps! Feel free to press 'Accept solution' if this answers your question, or reply back if you need more assistance.
The issue was that it was modeled in 2017 and I was opening it in 2019. The update for some reason was causing the crash. I realized this after downloading a 2017 trail, and it opened the file.
Thank you for your time to answer me with such detail I greatly appreciate it. I will look into the links you posted as soon as I have a chance.
