New to revit, need help

im just trying to learn the basics of floor plan.  I have in front of me an anchor bolt concrete plan for a 250 foot by 150 foot metal building. I'm basically trying to redraw the building for practice. I opened a new Architectural project. I click add architectural wall and try to draw a rectangle 250 foot by 150 foot and it doesn't fit..... half the 250' wall extends beyond the bounds of the project. I've googled for an hour and can't find a solution.

• Check if the view is cropped and the extents of the wall fall outside the crop
• Check if the scope box is checked on the properties pallet if in 3D
• Check the project uints...maybe the units of the template you have used is not feet, and you ended up with a 205 miles wall or something...Manage Tab >> Settings >> Project Units

I would suggest starting with this book 

Maybe you have crop region enabled? 

It usually is good to list the Version of Revit you use (although, your current problem likely is agnostic to what version). Ideally you applied all service packs and patches to that version. 

It also is helpful to summarize the topic in the name of the thread. Not just "help". Most topics created are asking for "help" and may be overlooked by someone knowing your issue. 

Good screenshots also help us understand the problem.

I tired changing the size crop and it defaults back to the size it was. See attached screen shot for my issue, half my rectangular walls aren't visible, like the canvas is too small.

I'm a pro on fusion 360, this is like chinese to me, i can't even figure out how to get to the window you posted a photo of.  I just ordered the book.

I found and unchecked the crop region, it did not fix the issue, it's like i'm drawing on a piece of paper and i went off the edge of the paper by 5 inches.

revit version 2025.4 - Free trial, wanted to make sure i can figure it out before i switch from autocad. it's much more sophisitcated but I would really like to enjoy it.  So far the drawing seems rather simple, i just can't figure this issue out.

This is setup of the OOTB default Multidiscipline Template. 

The view has a Scope Box assigned to it. When that is the case, you will not be able switch off the crop region and to modify it, you would need to adjust the extents of the Scope Box which is driving the crop region. You can do one of the following:

• GIF 01: If you wish to explore more about Scope Boxes functionality, simply keep them assigned to the view as is currently, and do the following to adjust the crop region
  1. Go to a view where the Scope Box is visible (Usually the 3D)
  2. Select the scope box in question (in this Case Overall View)
  3. Drag its extents to enclose the entire wall you placed
  4. The above will resiye the crop region automaticcaly
• If you do not wish to use the Scope Boxes, simply unassign them or delete them
