Nested Generic Model Families and Voids

The attached family has complex geometry that needs to be "trimmed" to various smaller sizes. It works fine (for me?) in the family editor environment but then, in the project, the void fails to cut. Thoughts for a fix?

Don't make the nested family "Shared".

I can't explain it either. By the way, nested families only need to be Shared if you intend to tag and schedule them in projects. Looking at your family I figured it wasn't necessary.
