Nested family with shared parameters, can't compute volume

I'm having some trouble with a nested conceptual mass family. So I made a nested family with some parameters, but I can't seem to have the volume computed by Revit once I turn "shared parameters" on in the nested families.
For example. Here I have the nested family, but without shared parameters turned on:
But once I turn on "shared parameters" in my nested family, it gives me the error: "Mass contains only mesh geometry, which can’t be used to compute Mass Floors, volume, or surface area."
The reason I built the family this way:
- The family contains multiple geometries, which I want to differentiate with a parameter called "NEN2580", for cost estimation based on volume. Each nested family has a different value for this parameter.
- The nested families also contain parameters to turn parts of the mass on/off for cost estimation.
Can someone help me to find out where the problem lies?
