Nested Detail Item in Family is displaying on floor level below

I have made a custom electrical equipment light switch family. There is no model geometry - there are just nested detail items for plan view and elevation. However, when the family is placed in to a project on a particular level, the detail item is visible in the level below. I don't have any elements in the family that extend below the 'reference level', and the view range for the level below does not extend in to the level above, so not sure why this is happening. Any help would be appreciated!

did you check your Level Range ?

I reviewed your family and noticed a potential issue with the height parameter. It appears that you might be positioning your family in the section view, which could lead to mistakes if the height parameter was altered while in the plan view.

I only place the family in plan view, not section. Also, underlay is turned off, so I don't believe it is anything associated with that.
