Nested Annotion family not displayed in project.

Hello!
I have created an generic annotation (nr1 see picture) to show tread number on my generic stair family (nr2 see picture). it works flawless in family creating, but when i load it into a project(3 see picture) it won't show up in 2d views. I have laborated around with graphic settings but i can't make it work. Am i missing something?

Hi,

When quickly checking your family, I suggest nesting the generic annotations in a host generic annotation family instead of a detail item family. Then it should work properly.

ok to make this clear. I put my detail item nested in for example a generic model?What kind of generic model would fit best in this case?

Aaaah okey i see. I tried it, it gives me error when i want to load the family into this kind of family creation. I gues i need to redo the family in this template instead?

something very strange is going when i try to export parameters from the first family to the new version in "Metric Generic Annotation". I use the addon DiRootsOne to export/import via excell the parameters between old and new. See picture, The length is the same but the distance varies alot, it gets wrong inside the nested stair family. I have quadruple checked the project Units in both families  and its correct but i still gets very wrong, im very confused right now. Im not a very used DiRootsOne user, do i miss something?

Just an FYI for users. Revit does not allow Labels to be shown in families if they are nested more than two families (project counts as a nesting) deep.

Here we have a Generic Annotation nested into a Detail Item, nested into a Generic Model and then brought into a the project

Here is a quick example (see attachment):

Create a new Generic annotation family and place your label family in there with all parameters. But first, give it a try and see how it fits.

Keep in mind that generic annotations scale in projects.

Yes that looks perfect! There are alot of parameters in the family for the detail item, it would take alot of time to redo them in a different kind of family. Did you see my earlier comments about this, do you know any solution?

Because the Generic Annotation does scale. But why don't you use the detail family in your project? You only have to change some of your instance parameters.

I tried but revit doesn't allow me to import that kind of family into Genereic Annotation. I could use the system family directly into a project, but i would like to have it built in the family so i can use it easy in different projects

Why do you change your stair family to Generic annotation?

i did't try to change the stair family, i tried to put the detail item into a generic annotation.

question for you? Since I cannot nest something two families deep and have it still show in the project, how would I accomplish attaching a label to the fork which has a rotational parameter on it to allow the fork to point to true north. I cannot get the label to rotate appropriately with the fork. I tried locking it to reference planes I created in the fork but it will not rotate properly.
