naming grid

Hello

my first grid line is called (1a) so if i wanted to make another grid line it would be called (1b) but what i want it to be is (2a) is there a way to do so beside changing it manually

You don't have such freedom to do that in Revit. I tried creating 2 grids naming them 1a and 2a, however when I placed 3rd grid its name was 2b. 

You can use Dynamo to create a simple node to rename your grids (check attachment). Let me know if you need the dyn file.

A quick way to do it is by using Schedules...Use Grid Schedule and you will be able to do it very easy...

Hi @NERDASORUS,

 

If you are looking at the numbering to be constantly having one particular character.

for example 1a,2a,3a,4a,5a....... na. as shown in image.

 

you can edit the grid bubble family and in the label add suffix as "a" as shown in image.
