My Revit 2021 Sudden Won't Start Up

I am a student 3rd year college student, and I have been using a student version of Revit 2021 with no problems at all until yesterday.  I tried to start it up before class but now I get this error message:

"The License Manager is not functioning or is improperly installed.  Revit will now shut down".

I hit the link "Help Me Understand", and I get this message:

"Based on the Autodesk ID you used to log in, it looks like you’ve been running the trial version of this application, and the time limit is up".

I have been using a student version.  I log on the my AutoDesk account, and it tell me: "Your educational access to Autodesk products is valid through August 24, 2021. Choose a product below".

I have tried every suggestion from this link:   https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Error-...  as well as tried uninstalling, and reinstalling, and every YouTube remedy, but to no avail, still getting the error message:  "The License Manager is not functioning or is improperly installed.  Revit will now shut down".

HELP!  Thank you.

Everything working fine for the past 2 months, then suddenly it refuses to start stating that my trial license has expired.  According to AutoDesk website my student license is good until August 24, 2021.  I have done nothing to my computer to cause this error.  It is not a fresh download that is not working, it is sudden and unexpected.  Contacted tech support via AVA, and it was a mystery to the tech from India, so she said she would forward my case to a higher level tech.  This was 5 days ago, and no reply.  I also called AutoDesk customer support SALES because SALES was the only human voice available.  The sales rep basically said AutoDesk offer no support for student versions of their software.  I sounds like I am screwed, no hope of assistance by AutoDesk.  I had one of my professors trying to help for 3 hours, and what we figured is it is an issue with the AutoDesk website identifying my account as having an expired license.

Hi @Anonymous-

Sorry for the frustration you're having with Revit and in terms of getting support.

I know you mentioned uninstalling and reinstalling, but I just wanted to make sure that when you reinstalled you did so via the Get Products page of our Education Community?

Clicking "Get product" and "DOWNLOAD" on the Revit product card is a key step in activating your educational entitlement.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Anonymous-

Could you please follow the steps in this article to see if that gets you up and running?

Autodesk software runs in trial mode (unregistered version) despite having a license

That article links to another one, which may help, too:

How to change or reset a license for Autodesk software

Hope this helps, and let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Gabe
