Multiple buildings project

Hello

i have a project to model with 5 different buildings ,

i would like to make one file of the site with the shared underground parking lot and landscape  as a base, and to link each building separately.

My question is, how should i deal with multiple level heights?

each building has a different 0.00 level on the site, so it could be a mess..

should i give them different names in advance, or it doesn't make a difference ? should i make it

and in general, any advice for the right work process in this case?

Thanks!

Hi

All those different buildings will have different levels.. Ground floor levels wont be same...

If there are 4 buildings, then create Four Revit file, each for each building.

and Link them in one file ( Site ) overall ..

Shared coordinate will help fix the levels further..

Hey, thank for your replay!

i already have different files for each building, and one for the general site

my question is how can i change the height of the 0.00 level for each building (for each link really), because the absolute height is different.

*They are connected to the site model with shared coordinate

Each file will have
1. Project base point
2. Survey base point

Check the level proprieties , they are either project based or survey based..
Ex: if levels are survey based , and if you wanna change level 0-0 to 15-0 then simply move survey point down to 15’ resulting the level showing 15-0

While moving survey base you may need to unpin that.. same with base point if levels are showing related to base.
Idea is not to move levels up or down , rather their relative position using survey or project base..

Cheers

Thank you Ganesh

I understand the logic now, but i still have some questions

Now in my general site file, i have a survey point that is defines 0,0,0 and a project base point with coordinates according to the shared coordinates of the project. should i move the survey point to match the project point?

And also, what should i do with the original files of each building? for example i have one building placed on +29.40 meters and another one on +28.30 meters - so i need to move the survey point in the source file to match their absolute height? and then when i load them as links will it apply?

thanks again for the patience!

Hi

To find the survey point ...
1. Go to floor plan ( any plan , view range make it unlimited )
2. Reveal hidden elements, uncrop the view
( usually project base and survey base point overlaps each other on plan, find these on plan )
3 further, draw a section , or elevation capturing those “ project base point “ and “ survey point “
4 then you can makes changes in that elevation or section view

Best luck
