Modular wall

Hello,

I'd like to create a modular wall with this element:

plan view

This is a recycled plastic/wood-wall element and I've the requeriment to build a house with that. What's the better way of do it and get an all-items list? I've been thinking two ways: 1) create the family an build the walls, element by element, but obviously it's kinda slow process. 2) Create it as panel for a curtain wall. What do you think of this ways? do you have other ways?

Thank you!

What data are you pulling downstream? I mean, you can use Basic Walls and then calculate materials/quantities  downstream via schedules.  You don't necessarily need to model at that LOD to get accurate takeoffs.

you can use a Mass surface with Divided Surface:

  • create a Divided surface with a row intercalation  (as 1./2 Step) with Fixed Distance for U and V as the brick dimension
  • then use a custom Curtain Panel Pattern Based Family
