Model in Place Sweep

I have a wall with different heights and thicknesses that I am trying to add a metal parapet cap to. I am having trouble getting this profile to sweep around all sides and wrap. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

The path is not clear in the image you posted. Nonetheless, I wouldn't use a sweep (especially not an in-place one). I would use structural framing (steel beams) from the Structure tab, then miter them using the Miter tool under the Steel tab. This will create a clean miter regardless of the thicknesses.
