Model In Place Component not Generating

Hey, I've been using revit's model in place feature for components lately for placing different facades, but I keep getting an error message that can't be ignored and I cant figure out what the error could be coming from.

anyone find a solution or a work around for this?

Can you provide screenshot what this component looks like? Also is there any profile less than 1/32" (0.8mm) in thickness?

All of the stonework is the model in place component, all of them are at least 1" wide

It is hard to know from screenshot. Is there a way you can isolate the stone in-place family and view it from 3d view? Also can you check to see if there are constraints attached to the in-place family.

Usually this kind of error is geenrated when you have sharp (very small) angles or small distances of lines (like syman said).

those angles were fine and not causing any issues, its some of the other rectangular spaces that aren't working

I don't think anybody can tell you what when wrong just by looking at your screenshot and the unexpanded, cryptic error message.  The best way to diagnose the errors is you sharing the model here.

With that said, why do you model in place instead of create the stone as part of the walls, then create parts and refine their shapes and sizes?

this is how i was taught to do it and has been the easiest way for me so far. the only other option i know of is creating too many different wall types each with a different façade which takes up an unnecessary amount of time

If you find it suits you the best, then fine.  How about creating multiple in place models in place of one so that each one is not too complex, and you can isolate where the issue more easily?

Did you join the Model in Place with other elements - maybe it's the issue with Joining different elements. Try unjoining each Model in Place and see if it helps
