Missing gird lines

Hi all,

I have create grid lines 1-4 in the vertical direction and grid lines A-D in the horizontal direction in Level 1, and then i created more 9 more levels. However the horizontal grid lines only appeare in Level 1-3, level 4-10 don't have the horizontal grids (grid A-D). I tried to copy the grids from Level 1 and pasted into Level 4-10, but the annotation of the grids will change, i.e. becomes grid E-H and so on.

Is there any solution for this problem? Thanks so much!

If a datum does not intersect a view’s plane (or does not intersect the plane in the correct way), then it will not be visible in that view.

Try to do th following

1. open Plan view (or any view where the Grid Line is visible)
2. right click the grid which is missing in your section/elevation
3. select maximize 3D Extents.

The other prossibility for missing grids on section/elevation

hidden intentionally or by mistake. In this case one needs to go to reveal hidden elements > select the magenta grid highlighted > right click > Unhide in view > Elements

The grid is not vertical to the cut plane/section

Grid lines are finite planes, they're not 2D. You can drag their extents in elevation views so that they do or don’t intersect level lines. This allows you to determine whether grid lines appear in each new plan view that you create for a project.

Make a section and drag the 3D extent of the grid past the top level, the grid lines-planes now cut all the levels and thus will be visible in these levels.

Thank you! Maximizing 3D existence fixed the problem mentioned above.
