Missing elements in plan view

Hi everyone, 

I've imported an IFC model into Revit 2018 (exported from Archicad & installed through Graphisoft's improved IFC Import add-in).

The 3D view looks fine and shows the complete model. However, when I open plan views, big parts of the information is entirely missing (see screen prints). I don't have that much experience in Revit and I've tried to tweak V/G and some other settings with no result. I also tried deleting the plan view and creating it again, but that didn't work either.

Any idea what I could do to solve this issue? Thanks

View Range? Try tweeking that.

HI! Depending on the setting, some small elements appear such as windows but the main elements such as walls and floors don't.

Wild guess: You sure your not in an RCP view?  Nevermind. I see you're not.

Change the View Depth to Unlimited.

To get the big picture, what are you going to do with the Revit model?

I need to run an energy analysis, and right now I can't place any rooms or spaces - I'm not sure this issue is linked to the disappearance of elements but I'm guessing there is some kind of underlying problem with the model that I need to solve before I can run any analysis. 

I've tried changing the view range but only windows appear.

Interesting @Anonymous. So let's see if I get the big picture, as does @ToanDN. 

It's a problem with Plan Views ONLY. In other words, no other view are affected this way? The model shows complete in 3D. Is this correct? If so, this is a View issue. Have you tried making a new Floor Plan from scratch? Do you know how? 

...you're not, by chance, phasing? I know; it a stretch. Just exploring here.

If you select a wall in 3d, which is invisible on plan, what does the properties tell you?

It seems like it's only a plan view problem - 3D view is fine.

I've tried deleting plan view of level 1 and creating it with Plan View tool, and the result was the same. Is that what you mean by creating a new one from scratch @barthbradley?

I've played around with phasing a bit but more elements just disappeared (as they were created in posterior phases).

@ToanDN I've attached a screen shot of the properties of a wall and floor that are absent from the plan view level 1.

Interesting.  Try link the IFC in a new file and set it to Room Bounding, then create Floor plans and see if you can place Rooms or Spaces there.

I just tried this but still can't place rooms or spaces. And the plan views still appear with missing features.

I'm wondering if this is phasing related after all. Not related to Revit phase settings, but to Archicad phase settings and how they got exported.

Can you save it to a new file, delete most of the model except for a few invisible walls and floors, the share it here?

Another thought. Regarding The Archicad Connection Add-In your using; is it the latest and greatest?

I've attached a file with a small part of the model where the disappearing takes place - and that it takes place at different levels: an element can be visible on plan view level 2 but not on level 1.

The issue could be linked to phases as the centre part of the building (probably built first) doesn't have disappearance issues but the end of the building does (most likely built later on). However, that doesn't explain why I can't create rooms and spaces.

I downloaded it a couple of days ago, the version was released in august 2017, so I'm guessing it's the latest version available. It definitely made the model better compared to the no add-in alternative but unfortunately it wasn't quite the magic wand I hoped for.

Your level 1 is way under the building so obviously you don't see any walls and floors on level 1 view.  Set level 2 cut plane somewhere so it cuts though the walls and see the floors.  The default cut plane is at 1200 mm and is probably too high in this case.  Try 0.
