Missing CAD Links in Titleblock Family

Hi Guys,

I am building a new titleblock for my firm. Some parts were created from imported CAD, as well as some filled regions/nested families.

Something screwy happened, and in the family, everything looks good except for some missing branding components (1 nested family, several filled regions of triangles).

When loaded into a project, the missing components above show up, but also a a massive default titleblock from CAD shows up. But I can't find it in the family.

Some workarounds, like hiding imported CAD families won't work because I have others that I do need visibility for.

Please see attached family if anyone can help.

Am at wits end, really.

Thanks!!!!

Truly bizarre. I suspect it was brought in with an import. No way for me to confirm though.

Maybe you should redo the titleblock family, this time without using any imported CAD.

I appreciate the solution.

Unfortunately, due to branding requirements the Company logo in orange needs to be as is. Creating it in Revit is problematic due to its size limits (line too small, will be deleted). Exporting as PNG etc has been tried, but resulted in less than ideal resolution.

Hate to tell you, but I deleted and purged everything in your titleblock, and this is what's loading into Project.

I would recreate it. You can copy paste most of the content to a new family.

Also, I would not bunch up everything into one family. Create a Generic Annotation family consists of the base static graphic and text. Nested it in three titleblock families for different offices. You can create distinguished graphics and labels in those three families. Keep it simple.

You can copy paste the import logo to a new file.  No need to redraw it in Revit.  Below is what I get after copy paste you content to a new titleblock family and load it in project to create sheets.  No more CAD border to be found.

Ultimately, it looks like there is no solution except as you say, to start over.

Also, why do you "keep it simple" instead of making dynamic families? I am thinking from a user perspective, they might like a single titleblock that is editable right there instead of changing the family?

Switching a titleblock is a lot easier than trying to fuss to get a parametric titleblock to work.
