Hi there, I understand this should be a very simple project, but I am new to Revit, and can't seem to figure it out. I was extremely proficient in drawing 2D Deck plans in ArchiCAD, but decided to switch over to Revit, just so I can eventually take advantage of it's great 3D features. Anyways, I've tried Googling downloadable deck plans/templates so that the flooring, joists, etc can already be there, and I can edit the length and width as needed, and add the railing myself, as well. I can not find ANY templates, or any really basic, step by step instructions or videos online. It is getting to the point where I would be willing to pay for such a template. Please help!
It would be helpful if I had a step by step tutorial on how to use these features. That's what I am looking for.

It sounds like you are trying to set up views that show particular elements from your model for placing scaled views on your sheets. There are plenty of videos showing how to do this. Choosing the correct terminology is not always easy for the beginner. Try terms like object styles and visibility graphics and setting up views for sheets in Revit.
