Is it normal that the mirror material looks black in the "Realistic mode" in Revit? I tried this in another computer with the same result.

How can I change This?

Well, you could play with the Photographic Exposure but that will affect the whole model. Without it, the "realistic" mode is generally dark...

It is not your computer, everything is fine. Without reflections, mirrors are black in every 3D program. To display mirrors accurately, you need Ray Tracing. Follow the link and read about it, its an interesting subject.

Hi @Panta02

Can you check if you have Hardware acceleration enabled?

To enable Hardware Acceleration:

Options > Graphics > Graphics Mode > Use Hardware Acceleration (Direct3D®).

Let me know if this helps with your issue.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question. Kudos welcome!

@Ilic.Andrej Ok... Interesting.

Black color for a mirror is not very "realistic" at all. Haha.

I thought it was something with my pc...

Hello  @Viveka_CD

Yes, I have that option on 🙂 ... I also updated my drivers before posting this question here, thinking maybe it was a driver issue or something. But, same result.

You can change the colour of the mirror Glass.. but it will show up in consistent colour setting..

only ray-traced will give the reflection..

Cheers!
