When migrating from Revit 2012 to 2015 what is the correct process to move all templates, standards and settings, including but not limited to:

Can Revit save files down to earlier versions, say from 2015 to 2012?

Moving families from 2012 to 2015 does every family need to be opened and upgraded?

Transferring drafting views from 2012 to 2015, what is the best process?

Can schedules be transferred from 2012 to 2015?

Can Line types and hatches be imported from 2012 to 2015

The rest of your questions:  Open a copy of one of your projects in the newer software, everything in the project gets updated to the newer version.  Families in your library not in the model you just updated will be updated when you insert them into a newer project.
