Material not showing in realistic plan

I am creating a finish plan using parts and paint to apply materials.

The highlighted floor is a few feet higher than the carpet texture.

I have used the same process to give it carpet but it doesn't show up:

Also no luck with painting.

I tried hosting the floor to the level of the plan and that didn't fix the issue.

Could be any number of reasons. Instead of us guessing which one, just post you file here and we'll you exactly how to fix it.

BTW: if I had to guess, I'd say the Material doesn't have the right Asset assigned to it.  Looks like it might be using Default - not Carpet.

Troubleshooting ideas would require a series of follow-up questions and maybe some screenshots from you. Sorry. I'm out. Too much work.   Good luck though.

I retried (after a crash) and can't even get the default element materials to appear on this floor:

So it's not a problem with my materials.

This also happened when I tried to create parts on the level above

No issue when the afflicted elements are placed in a new file.

I had thought of that.  You know, keep this list of 33 handy for reference the next time you can't see something in the view that you know you should be able to see.  In this case, #20 applies.
