Material in a Reflected Ceiling Plan Appears differently on Ceiling vs Floor

I have a reflected ceiling plan that shows both dropped soffits created with ceilings, and floors created with floors. My problem is that the same material (surface pattern) on both floor and ceiling appears differently.

I have tried painting the material on both soffit and floor. I have also tried altering the properties of both floor and soffit to include the material within the assembly. I want the surface pattern (drafting pattern) to appear exactly the same on both assemblies. Please help!

The image shows the ceiling above and floor below - both have the same dot pattern layout but the ceiling has obviously a thicker line-weight.

You sure they are using the same color (not Pattern)?  Same View Scale?

The same material is placed on both floor and ceiling - so yes, everything is the same. It seems like a view template setting that I can't figure out how to change. The image below is a snapshot of what the RCP looks like - the same pattern shows up differently on the ceiling vs the floor.

You think it's the View Template? Quick way to find out: Go to View Tab=>Plan Views=>Reflected Ceiling Plan=>untick "Do not duplicate existing views"=>select Ceiling View from drop-down list=>press "OK".  How does the duplicate view look by comparison?

...you know, you can just post your file. I'm sure I can figure it out in seconds flat.

...What a minute. Did you check the View's Visibility Graphic Overrides?  I forgot to mention that.

I duplicated views without the view template applied - same result.

I've checked the view template (which controls the visibility graphic overrides) and nothing controls the line weights of patterns there. I can only change the color or pattern.

I'll try and upload my file (first time doing this so thanks for the help!) But for now I've uploaded the process I use to check all the visibility settings.

Are you saying the ceiling is displayed the same way with and without a Template?  The newly created RCP should have not applied a Template.

...also compare Model Display settings.

Look at your Pen Weight #1 and Pen Weight #2 for the scale of the floor plan you are working with.  Pen #2 will control the pattern of your ceiling which will be different than Pen #1 for everything else.

Huh? But, the OP said the View Scales are the same.  No?

Interesting thought though.  I get where you are coming from.

Material surface patterns of ceilings inherit the ceilings category projection line weight, whereas those of all other categories use line weight 1.

...Nope. No ****. Just tested.  Who knew.  I guess I need remedial education.  I never noticed that before. Thanks for stepping in to help us "newbies" out, @ToanDN.

Is that with model or drafting patterns?  With my model pattern, such as a 24" grid, the line weight of the pattern only changed with updating Pen #2...if I set my ceiling projection to my thinnest pen possible it doesn't affect the grid at all.
