Masses - Updating Adaptive Panel family without have to restart all work???

I have a mass that is divided with an intersection list based on levels and grids.

When I update my adaptive panel, all the panels in the project disappear and the split mass faces disappear as well.

Is there a way to update these adaptive panel families without having to restart all this exhaustive work? Seems extremely inefficient.

I bet they are still there.  I normally try to place a new panel, pick a node, then cancel the command and the old ones re-appear.

It works! But I think it's because I took this out of the design option.

I think the panels disappearing had to do with the model being in a design option. Now that it's out I can update it.
