Managing Links Problem when moving Revit File

Hi Guys,

I created a model with 20 dwg links attached to it.

I then copied the model file to a different server for others to use

When they open the model, they get this prompt:

Do I need to move the CAD links to somewhere in the server?

If so is there any way I can group these cad links into one folder so that this is easier?

Regards

Aidan

  • Save the CAD files into the same folder with the Revit file and copy the folder into the other computer.
  • While in Manage Links dialog ,use a Relative Path Type

Why Relative Path Type? and how do I do so

I tried to look it up on line but I couldnt find anything that was clear.

Relative paths are like you kept your coats in the master closet in house 1 and when you moved to house 2 you kept them in the master closet too.
