making streets and parking lots to an existing topo surface using site designer?

Hello there

I need help with this site designer in revit.

I need to do streets,  parking lots to an existing terrain/topo surface, and I am not really sure how to start.

Is this possible or do I need to start all over again? Because, I already have my building in the terrain.

Please help.

you can use site component or parking components for the parking. and make the streets with building pad or split surface.

@Anonymous

Hello

Yes, I did the streets using building pads but the transition from the street to the toposurface seems very rigid.

So, I was wondering if there was a way if I could smooth this using Site Designer or other tool without having to do every street all over again.

🙂

Raise your road and building pad....or add in a retaining wall....or get rid of the excess ground to match the sidewalks...

Welcome to the world of civil design within Revit.

Hey there 🙂

I Raised the building pad as you said but the problem is still visible there... and in other areas... 😞

Sorry for the rough sketch :)... This is what I'm trying to say...

I'm trying to find a way that i can accomplish this. Smoothing the corners of the topography that touches the sidewalks... Not sure how to do this with Site designer or other tool without going back to cero and starting all over again... Because, i already did the building pads for the street and sidewalks... 😞

If you've got an hour to learn, watch this:

I'm preparing a much shorter video for you demonstrating a method that isn't as fancy and variable, but might work for you. I'll upload it in the morning.

I think @Anonymous response is a good solution for this.

Cut out a portion of the existing site and modify it as new construction and adjust the topo to match the sidewalk.

This is the way it is done in Civil3D and back in my LDD/CDD days too.  If you need to level a depression, you add a surface to level it...to remove excess you have to add a surface showing to remove it.  I think you can also demo topo elements during this process so you can show what is getting removed.  With a little math you can find out how much soil will need to be hauled off or brought in when working with cost estimates.  (Best to not have to haul in/out anything...remember building footings and basements add lots of soil too)
