Making roads via subregions- How to make them show up in rendered views?

Hello! I'm in the process of making roads for my site model and used the sub region tool with detail lines to map out where the roads would go. This worked perfectly and I deleted the detail lines a while back

I tried to use enscape to look at my model and noticed the sub region roads weren't visible. I assume this is because I didn't use the cut topography tool to change the level of the roads. I tried going back and doing this, but found that I couldn't select the edges of the sub region to make new detail lines or cut the topography based on what I have.

I could go back through and remake all the detail lines, but I'm on a time limit and am wondering if there's a simpler way.

Apply a Material with a Rendering Appearance Asset to the SubRegion.   

BTW, Detail Lines don't show up in Renderings.

I'm not entirely sure. I assigned a material to the roads/subregion, but the rendering still doesn't show them.

Looks like you need to set your View Phase Filter to "Show Complete".  Either that, or your Materials are using a Generic Appearance Asset.  

...do you have a Mass Form visible in the View?

Ah, okay.

Show complete didn't seem to do anything and I don't have any masses in the view- Pretty much everything you see is linked from AutoCad (except the trees and sub-region). What's the difference between a generic asset and a rendering appearance asset? I haven't been able to find anything online.

Assets (under Materials' Appearance Tab) are what the Rendering uses. The Default Asset is just gray and bland.  You need to replace it with an Asset from your Asset Browser.
