Maybe I should be more clear. Every time I attempt a Help topic in the
search window, the screenshot is what I get in response.

You are clear enough.  It's time for me to be clear.  For example: I typed "stair" in the box and it brought me to the correct page.

Hi @larry

This could be due to a virus scan program blocking the licensing module from loading.

Check if your system a virus program, then uninstall, restart and try accessing the help page again.

Let me know if this helps.

The novice in me says Revit is calling the wrong url for help topics. I
went into Chrome and made sure Autodesk was a "trusted" site, still no luck
here.

Can this just be a script in my Revit 2019 calling up the url of the help
files? It appears it's commanding "/view/RVT/2019/ENG". I don't see any
reference to "help" in my Revit.ini

Hi @larry

Sorry to hear that this issue persists.

What was your download method for Revit 2019? Did you install the utilities etc?

I'm waiting to hear feedback from the team on this - will update once I have any recommendations.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for keeping up on this.

I used "browser download" for this install. If you look into past issues, I
had a similar issue with my 2018 version of Revit Architecture. The
Autodesk tech spent quite a lot of time on that one, finally getting "help"
to work. I'm not quite sure what she did, she worked with a remote control
of my computer to do it. It worked fine after that.

I did open both 2018 and 2019 ini files to see if there was any noticeable
change she might have done, but I cannot see anything.

Thanks again. I do need to get this resolved. I've got to get back to
work...

Hi @larry

Can you navigate to the help document manually?

C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Revit_2019_English_Win_64bit_dlm\en-US\Documentation?

Also, can you confirm where you are located?

@loboarch can provide more feedback on this.

Hi @larry

Does Revit 2019 launch otherwise? Are you able to work on a project without any other issues?

Did you try disabling the antivirus/ firewall on your machine and see if that helps?

Can you try a repair of Revit and let me know if this helps resolve the issue and bring up the help doc?

 Hi @larry

I was talking to someone on the team about our issue and they had a couple of suggestions:

1) Does anyone else in your environment have the same issue, i.e, the help doc not showing up through the application? if yes, then this could be related to a server issue or a firewall blocking the web server - Apache  and depending on the help page you've requested it may ask the server to run a few extra modules to bring up the help document.

2) This looks like more of an IT issue, you need to verify that no other web servers are running and that port 80 is available.

3) When you selected the language did you specify UK or US English?

4) If nothing works then disable all firewall and antivirus programs before re-installing.

Looking forward to your reply update.

@larry

Can you also post your Revit ini to investigate?

Please try the below for me before the steps in the previous post:

Please check which language Revit 2019 is set to (check Revit 2019 launch icon within Target field) If you find that the language is ENG, then change it to ENU

Please see screenshot below:

Revit.exe language setting.JPG

Thanks and let me know if this resolves the issue.
