linked Modells and Rooms

Hello,
is there possibility for the Components in linked Modells to recognize rooms from other Modell? meaning for example doors and windows - because of complexity of our projects, we work with outer faccade as linked Modell, and it would be great if in the Shedules doors and windows would show the adjoining rooms. thank you.

This is not really an idea but rather something for the Architectural forum. You can set each linked model to be round bounding or not. Also schedules allow in their categories manager to include linked files as well (bottom left hand side). I think doors and windows need to have the room recognition gizmo (curly arrow thing) active in order to communicate their existence to rooms though.

yes, we tried it, but in the Schedule of windows and doors they dont recognize rooms from linked Modell, even if it room bounding is.

So modelling a quick example on this, I found doors' and windows' (probably all) room feelers are stuck with their own model and do not recognize room entities from linked files. Surely they have fixed this in R27. In Revit 26.1 this bug is still there. For now, I will use IFC exports and use the viewer's capabilities to figure out which room is closest.

I don´t think its a bug, it is problem I remmber in R etc too. It would be best if the components could recognized the romms, same as rooms recognize the walls etc from linked models.

The solution would be to set recognition of room from linked modells in components with room recognition gizmo.
