Linked model worksets reset on cancel in revit 2019.1

I turn off the linked models worksets under manage links. I can turn off the linked models Shared levels & grids workset globally here, and also any other temp worksets i don't want to see. I have done this for many years a just now in 2019.1 I find the worsets I have turned off keep turning back on after I go in for a look to check. When i push 'cancel' they reset back to being ON. Did not happen in 2019.0.

Attached image shows the Levels and Grids already set to 'No' previously. After I opened and check they were set correctly I click 'cancel' , then the grids re-appear. I go back and check and they are all set to YES.

get the file RELINQUISHED by all the users and then try...

Seems you don't have full permission ( borrower ) and whatever changes you are

making are temporary only for you...

( check if someone else owns that particular workset )

Big Mystery. You say you have been doing this same workflow for years without incident --and now, only 2019 craps out on you.  Hard to wrap a brain around it.   Perhaps, you can share your workflow -- and previous archaic version you were on.

Try using a View Template to control the worksets in the linked model. Apply the workset to your views.

In your snapshot, it looks like the worksets are not editable and/or owned/borrowed. Can you take ownership/borrow them?

Can someone with 2019.1 have a test to see if it is just our build?

1. Go to manage links > Select a revit link model > Click on its worksets > Turn some of them off > Save & Close manage links

2. Go back into Manage links > Click the same revit link again > check its worksets that you changed are still set to off > click 'cancel' > Close manage links

3. Open manage links again > Select Revit model again > Check Worksets again > are all the worksets turned back on?

Like i said this has only happened since installing 2019.1. All other versions of revit including 2019.0 was ok.

Followed the step in Revit 2019.1

All closed worksets reopened.

Yes we have this happen to our 2019.1 models too.

[Sorry but the suggestion to 'fix' this issue through Revit Link settings in View Templates is the worst ever. The top-level Manage Worksets switch is CRUCIAL to managing Linked Models on large projects, and needs to be fixed. No, I do not want to manage visibility of levels and grids from mulitple Linked Models through dozens of View Templates, thank you very much.]

This JUST started happening to us on 2 jobs. Has nothing to do with view templates, syncs, etc. It only happens when you hit "cancel" when opening the "Manage Worksets" after selecting a link in the "Manage Links" dialog box. When you have deadlines and everyone's items start showing up that you shouldn't be seeing, this costs us more work and delay. We are 2019.1 as well.

Can you please apply the Revit 2019.2.1 and see if that helps?

Unfortunately, working in a large firm, we have to rely on an IT team to test and deploy. We won't be able to test this until May, at the earliest.

The latest on this is that it started with 2019.1, and carries into 2020. Autodesk has this new post as of April 21, 2019, showing the workaround: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles... 

Basically, you always have to hit "reload" until this gets fixed.
