Linked Model Grey in 3D View (Rendering)

Good afternoon,

we have an issue with the display of a link model - it is okay until we go to Rendering Visual Style or open Enscape - it is all grey.

Both models use the same Materials, I have checked Phasing, Object Styles, View Overrides and there is nothing unusual.

Here you can see that the entire linked model is grey and the host one is fine:

Thank you

Hi,

It is likely due to missing appearance assets of materials in the link. Try opening the link itself and then open the Material Browser (look for Materials, under the Manage tab in the ribbon).
With the Material Browser open, click on the Appearance tab and go through the list of materials, to check that they have no missing asset files (if there are LOTS of materials, you should purge all the ones not in use first). If you have missing assets, it'd look like this:

If you hover the cursor over the name of the file, it should tell you the expected full path to that file.
If the linked model originated outside your office, reach out to the author(s) to see if they can provide you with the missing appearance asset files.

Hope this helps!
