Linked IFC doesn't follow project north

Hello,

I have a question regarding linked IFC models and how to change there rotation so they correctly follow the project north/true north rotation.

The revit project is built in revit 2022 and often exchanged with another buiding partner that uses a different software. However, when we receive the IFC from our building partner and link it back into revit, the model doesn't follow the correct true north rotation. 

In the attachments you can see a simple example that demonstrates the problem:

-The revit model (containing the exterior walls) where the true north has a rotation of 25degrees (1).

- Then the interior walls are modelled in a different software and linked back in the original revit model through IFC (2).

- The linked model however, doesn't follow the correct rotation (3).

Is there an option in the settings that i'm unaware of the automatically resolve this issue so you don't have to manually correct the rotation of the linked model?

If I'm reading  you correctly, it sounds like a problem with the IFC provided back to you from the Partner who created the IFC from a different software.   There was no issue with the original IFC you created from Revit; right?

The problem lies more with how the ifc file is imported into a revit model where the project north differs from true north.

For example imported the IFC file of the example project back into the revit model and the rotation doesn't match the revit model. 

See screenshot below. I want these the original revit model and the IFC to overlap.

Link it in a Project North view and tick the box Align with current view.

What coordinate base are you using when you export to IFC?

Shared coordinates, when i export the IFC using the PBP or SP the issue is resolved.

Was looking for an option like this but can't seem to find it in the import settings. Where can I enable this?

For further projects I will keep this in mind so yes, thank you. 

But for the current project it would be great if i could use an option like "align with current view" mentioned by ToanDN.

You said they exported to IFC using a different software.  Do you have control on them to choose SP or pBP?

I exported it using the shared coordinated (which I won't use anymore for future projects). But they used this IFC model as a basis to work on. Now when I import their model the rotation doesn't match our revit model.  So it would be great if i could fix this when importing their IFC into revit.

No it is only available when linking CAD files.
