Linked files unconsistency

Hi all,

I have a revit model where I linked 4 dwg drawings. In the Manage Links dialogue, everything looks fine.

However, when I try to set their visibility by a view template, they all appear 3 times (and there are some other dwg linked that have nothing to do with my project). This might have occured when I transferred project standards from another file.

My question is : How do I "clean up" the V/G dialogue with just the links that are actually in my model?

I guess you imported them before you linked them?

If you go to the links category of your VG, you can see a list of the links that are in the model.  Each has a '+' sign next to it. Expand these to see each instance of the link, which you can control individually.  You can also check the 'Imported Categories' to control the visibility of the DWG files.

Transferring project standards will not bring in any Revit or CAD links.

@bin I never imported those dwgs, and no one else used my model.

@Anonymous Yes, that is what I am doing to control the visibility of the drawing, but it still bothers me.

I believe it happened during the "transfer project standards" because some of the links in the list belong to the original model from which I copied the project standards.

@barthbradley Thanks for the tip. I never audited a model before. I followed this step by step (here) but it did not resolve the unconsistency.

Save a purged project and upload here.

If you include View Templates, and a template has the Imported categories altered (e.g. change layer's color/linetype, etc...), then the altered CAD links will be included when you transfer project standards.

Have you looked at the .dwgs to see if they are referencing each other?
