Linked file from older version.

Hello guys,

I am interested in the result of linking a copy of lets say architectural file from an old version.

Does linking the file change it in anyway or because it is just linked file it doesn't matter and it doesn't make changes to the file?

Thanks.

It will temporarily upgrade the link when you open the host file. The linked file source will remain unchanged, the upgraded one is being help in RAM and goes away when you close the file again. The problem is if the linked file never gets upgraded, you will have to wait for that upgrade process EVERY time you open the host file. In some cases this can take a long time, not something you really want to do on a regular basis.
