My task is to determine the volume of a room in a sketch up model. The project manager exported the model to a 3-D dwg. When I try to link the dwg to a new project in revit I get an error that it is not visible, which I know because I don't see it. For laughs I opened up a new 3-D view and there it is. Why would it show in a 3-D view, but not in a Plain view? I exploded, purged, and set the proxygraphics to one in autocad before attempting to link it into Revit. It's visibility in the imported categories tab are all toggled on.

The solution was to check the box to "Current view only" when linking. This solution was found here.
