Link/import dwg exactly as it is

Hi fellas!

Is it possible to somehow link a dwg file so that is appears exactly as it looks in AutoCAD?
Linestyles being top priority. They seem to appear as "Import linestyle name" but they don't work as intended(?)

Revit does not recognize complex linetypes along with a lot of other things AutoCAD.

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

I was afraid it might be that way.
Do you know of a workaround? Exporting to the actual DWG is a way, I guess. But we rather don't.

Maybe to import the plotted dwg as an PDF instead?

A line base family? You mean that I should draw 'special lines' manually with a line family?

e.g. Gas pipe line or Low voltage cable.

In CAD I have some complex linestyle to rapresent both (plug in) but if you do import those dwg. in revit the programme will not be able to display them properly.

To overcome the issue i have prepared a Line based family.
