Link DWG into a Revit Section

I am trying to link a CAD drawing to a section I've created in Revit. It is not working. I have looked into my VG setting, view setting, crop region, expanded crop region and import units while placing the file. When in a 3D view, is the only time i can see the drawing. Trying to link a CAD drawing in a plan view, i have no problems. Is it just section views that you cannot link? Any thought

It is possible that when you linked it is was set to current view only....which is preferred it you don't need it in all other views...

If you only need it in the section...

Remove the link

Open the section view

Link the dwg current view only

Position as needed.

If you can't see it turn off the crop boundary, it might be outside of the crop.

I deleted the link, opened my section, turned off Crop region, imported Link again with Current View Selected and i still do not see anything.

So a couple options you can try

1) type za.....this is a keyboard shortcut for Zoom ALL. If it is there you will see it.

2) does your link CAD dialogue box look like the attached picture?

Thanks for your help. After messing around for a couple hours, i figured i needed to create the objects within the .dwg as a block and change the units. After saving and linking based on import units of inches, it seemed to work.
