Linework Tool turning lines grey, not invisble

As the title outlines. When using the Linework tool, the internal layer lines of a wall in section are turning grey when 'invisible' selected, but the exterior edge turns invisible. Is this how it works? Any workaround?

Turn grey? Select it again. There are 2 common edges overlapping.

Use a line type with white color and dot pattern instead of <Invisible>.  What is this exercise anyway?  Why can't you just change the view to Coarse?

Why not just turn Common Edges off?

Thanks Guys

Both ways work. I knew about creating the White line, but forgot about Common Edges.

@barthbradley Yes they turn Grey. Which I thought was odd cause other Linestyles work, but using 'invisible' turns these edges grey for some reason. I've selected it a number of times as I knew that could have been the case.Linework Tool.JPG
