When you use the Linework command, you have the option to set a line to the <Invisible lines> style (as shown in picture). This will make it not plot.
You can also assign this line style in the family editor, so that you don't have to go through this every time in your project.

No. You can't see invisible lines. What is the use if you draw a line you can't see.
