When you use the Linework command, you have the option to set a line to the <Invisible lines> style (as shown in picture). This will make it not plot.
You can also assign this line style in the family editor, so that you don't have to go through this every time in your project.

Not that I know. What you can do to achieve that same behavior is to create a "working" floor plan and a "final" duplicate of that plan. Since the Detail Lines are annotative elements, they will only show on the view you created them ("working" view) and won't polute the other one ("final" view).
