Linear Lighting Family Light Source Definition

Hi Everyone,

I've created a linear LED family that has an instance based fixture length parameter. The idea being that I can "stretch" the length of my family as necessary on projects without having to create multiple types with different lengths.

From my understanding the Emit from Line Length type parameter controls the length of the light source. Is there a method of having the light source definition reference my instance based fixture length parameter?

Again, I would like the family to reference the instance fixture length parameter and not the fixture length type parameter to give me fully flexibility on a project. 

I have attached the family(Revit2019) for reference.

Why not approach using an Parametric Array Family?  Something like the attached "Rope Light" Family...  

...you could do the same thing in a Line-Based Family Template as well.

Well it seems that "Emit from Line Length" can be driven by an instance parameter. I don't know why. It breaks the family rule of instance cannot drive a type parameter. But there you go.
