Light fixture is not rotating freely

Hello Guys,

I have come across the situation where I need to put a light fitting in a slope in a way that they are not visible and I would only be able to see the effect. I can not get the light fixture to do that. For some reason I am not being able to get it in an angle. I am attaching the image of the slope that I need to put lights on.As you can see I have got the angle wrong and height wrong, the height is an easy fix but not the angle. I am also attaching the link of the light that I am using. Could you guys please help me in this.

1.Light fixture are level/horixontal plane based usually ( Always vertical in category ).. Edit the light fixture and remove " Always vertical " option ( untick it..)

2. Second option is make a new family with variable slope ( angle ) of ceiling, so that you can you can place any light-fixture perpendicular to that.

3. Third option is to make in-place ceiling with whatever angle you want and then place light fixture on it..( still you need to edit light fixture and remove Always vertical option )

I have uploaded a revit file with example of in-place ceiling with light fixture following that ceiling..

( you can always hide the ceiling if don't want it to be visible, or use the filter to hide the ceiling.. )

Hello Ganesh,

Thank you for your reply. I have managed to put the lights on the slope. I made a non-hosted light fitting which has 6 degrees of freedom. It's always a bit tricky to put lights in an angle. My solutions are either I have to create as many types possible with various angles or create a non hosted light to put anywhere and the 2nd option worked for me.
