I add a first level ceiling panel on the second floor. Why the light fixture can not work? I have to create a new first level of ceiling board, and then the light fixture can be stay. Thank you.

You cannot place a ceiling host family under a floor.  Use  a face based family in MEP folder, not Architectural folder, then you can host it under the floor.

That is not what I meant but if you want to use the ceiling host light fixture family then yes you do need to create a ceiling below the floor.

Thank you so much. I do not understand this: Use  a face based family in MEP folder, not Architectural folder, then you can host it under the floor. Could you explain more or show some photos? Than you.
